Hey folks!
I hope your new year is still fresh and NEW!!!!
Its June and i feel "Forward Movement" especially because it's the last month of the 2nd quarter. So whatever the goals and plans are that you've set for this year, remember, Keep Moving Forward!
Forward Movement, whether in life, business, or even on the highway, will never progress without obstacles. If you know me, one of my mantras is, "I'm not easily influenced, I'm easily inspired", so the word obstacle has been my new obsession, and has inspired this week's Authentic Thought!
Because i refuse to face something i don't fully understand, i looked up the definition of the word and here's what i got:
ob·sta·cle\ˈäb-sti-kəl, -ˌsti-\
noun
: something that makes it difficult to do something
: an object that you have to go around or over : something that blocks your path
: something that impedes progress or achievement
How many of us can say that we've been facing obstacles in 2019 so far? Starting/finishing a project has been difficult to do. Challenges have been blocking your path. Things just seem impossible. I don't know about you, but Yea that's ME!
Who would think that in the middle of the year things could get be challenging so quickly? Nonetheless, this is the reality, so let's face it!
In my contending with these obstacles I've discovered three things that have allowed me to change my perspective on how i interact with obstacles.
Here they are:
1. Obstacles don't equal failure
2. Obstacles are an opportunity for Ingenuity
3. Obstacles allow us to appreciate success
Short. Sweet. Simple.
Check out the special throwback video i made just for my AuthentiCats, to hear me elaborate more about how to use these tips to deal with obstacles.
Obstacles
also as promised, here are a few proverbs you can read and meditate on as well!
"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose" Romans 8:28
"Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired and success achieved." Helen Keller
"Adversity introduces a man to himself" Author unknown
Enjoy the video, remember to use these points to engage our obstacles and meditate on these proverbs. They're all relative! Let's make it the Greatest Year we've ever experienced!
Talk Life with you later!
